Dark mode not supported?

This is an excellent UI component! Thanks.
I'm trying to get the tab bar to be black colored, and have set style to 'black', not translucent and background color is black too, yet the tab bar is resolutely white.
What am I missing?
Can you share your code with me? I'm working on a pull request with this feature.
