GTK error when right-click on icon

I right-clicked the icon, and this is what happens - notice the window border on the top left corner, and the terminal output:

clipit-bug-open

  • No menu opens
  • Clipit hangs and has to be killed

I am having the same exact issue. Whenever I click on the menu it opens a small blank window on top left screen and then the system becomes unresponsive. I have to kill that blank window with xkill or I have to kill the clipit process from htop by sending it a SIGKILL request. I have tried so many clipboard managers for my window manager and clipit is the best. I will be grateful to the developers if they can fix this issue. This is annoying.
