Toggleable List/Icon View

Not everyone is a fan of icons, apparently
Honestly, I can't really navigate effectively with a list nor a grid.
Can you have a togglable option to arrange the icons in a spiral?
Thanks

This is a sugar free work zone, as I have software induced diabetes
This is an easy fix from a UI perspective. How do you want to handle persistence, though? Should the option be tied to the browser (easy) or the user through LDAP or whatever (harder)? Either way, the user shouldn't have to pick each time they visit.
Do it in the browser. KISS

Works for me. I'll see if I can get it done tonight.
Technically done, but there's more I want to add/fix. The biggest thing is, since everything's in a ul again (after @mgambogi's update), I can simplify the markup. Right now I was lazy and added another copy of the links for the "list" view, bringing the total to 3, which was dumb.
My changes so far are live in my member's space: https://members.csh.rit.edu/~bencentra/CSHMembersPortal/
I think this is done. I reduced it to the original 2 copies of the list, one for desktop, one for mobile. The list and icon views share the desktop list.
