[Entry] Java Hashmap: Create the term entry `map.replace()`

dakshdeepHERE opened this issue · comments

Reason/inspiration (optional)

We want to add the .replace() method as a new term entry for HashMap. Provide the entry in a markdown file and place it under the file path content/java/concepts/map/terms/replace/replace.md

The entry should have the following:
– An introductory paragraph about what the method does.
– A syntax section with a pseudo code block explaining it.
– An example showing the method in use.

Please refer to the term entry template, content standards, and markdown style guide when working on the PR for this issue.

@dakshdeepHERE Hi! I'd like to work on this issue. Can you assign it to me? Thanks!

@dakshdeepHERE @SSwiniarski Hi! I would do this because I'm currently doing Codecademy's Git course and a project of that course requires contributing to the docs.

Hello,
I would like to work on this entry.

@Aquacoder345 are you still interested in taking this issue?

@dakshdeepHERE I am interested in taking on this issue.

Hello @dakshdeepHERE, I am interested in taking this issue on to gain more experience contributing to the GitHub project 😸

Hello, I am from Learn Git and Github Course on Codecademy. I am interested in this issue and I would like to take part in it.

I would like to be assigned to this issue as my first open source contribution.

Hi @dakshdeepHERE, I am here to be tested and complete my Git Project on the Learn Git & GitHub course on this amazing website called Codecademy, I don't know if you have heard of it, but its some cool stuff. Anyways, I would be happy to be assigned to this issue.

@NoahHorners, Are you still interested in working on this issue?

I'd like to be assigned this issue if it is still available. Thank you!

@daniellelamb You’re assigned 🎉 In addition to the documents linked in the description, please also look at the Contribution Guide. After creating a PR, the maintainer(s) (with the collaborator label) will add comments/suggestions to address any revisions prior to approval.

@letsbuildanything
Hi! I am trying to finish my Git lesson on Codecademy. I requested this because I'm learning Javascript, and most of the other issues were with Python.

I'm now realizing that Java and Javascript are radically different. Is it possible to finish the "Git and Github, Part II" lesson if you haven't learned programming languages such as Python?

Unless you are able to answer my previous question, please unassign me. Thanks!

Hey @daniellelamb! You are correct Java and JavaScript are both quite different. I suggest you look through the available issues, ask to be assigned to one that interests you and once assigned you can create a PR for that issue.

I will go ahead and unassign this Issue from you.

@NoahHorners @VinceIP @willphan1712000 @Kmerica are any of is interested in taking up this issue?

@dakshdeepHERE Hi, I'm interested in taking this issue on, please assign it to me as part of my Git course.
