Optional mechanism for autosizing of the page

In some (not all) list view designs the desirable page size would depend on the size of the area - dictated by the sizes of containing window and ultimately the browser.
It is possible to create automatic page-size detection mechanism that can update the data area responsible and through it pagers or scroler
