Is there a way to add this to my pi-hole block list so that it will block YouTube shorts on the YouTube mobile app? Or is there any other way to remove shorts from the YouTube mobile app? Thanks!
Does it still work when your YouTube page isn't set in English?

Actually - problem solved... I realized that there was also a 'mobile' section. When I removed those lines, it works like a charm ;)
This feels like it belongs in a 'contribution to human health and sanity' category.

In a similar vein, I would like to see a video on how to block certain channels from showing up on YT or invidous when viewing the main page upon login. For some reason these annoying channels like 'Penguin', 'Mr Beast' and 'Daily dose of internet' just keep appearing in the feed and I would rather not see them at all!! Thanks
@daviddorian222 I try to stick to the subscriptions tab in YouTube as the algo has been junk for me this past year. I also use RSS to look at what new videos come out from creators I like without having to open youtube.com.

Has anyone noticed that lately YT keeps showing the row "Watch it again". As if I want to watch again, the video that I watched a few days ago.
It didnt work , i can still see shorts.

You do not have to paste the entire thing. Just click on "Filter lists" instead of "My filters" and paste the RAW link of the filters text file of the github page ( https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gijsdev/ublock-hide-yt-shorts/master/list.txt ) and it will download the list automatically and keep it up to date straight from the github page.
You can paste the link in the import section at the bottom of "My filters"
If you're using the Brave web browser, you can add these lines below to your custom filters (from Reddit post):

youtube.com###dismissible:has([href*="shorts"])

If you use Adguard as adblocker you can paste Chris lines under "User rules" to ghet rid of the shorts.

FireTV ? Roku ? Anyway this could be “profile” specific on the google end - because this seems to be device specific to web/pc or mobile - but I watch YT mainly on tv via Roku or FireTV firestick
For some reason, when you use the filter list from GitHub, you can see the Shorts section on the YouTube page for a split second. I don't have this issue with the filter list from letsblock.it so I will keep using that.
