Create CentOS AMI images with GPT

I raised this originally in https://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=15070 but that doesn't seem to be monitored and I've just bumped into the limitation again.

Any chance AMI images could be built with GPT instead of MBR? This would allow you to grow the root EBS volume beyond 2 TB.
