Can we figure out a better way to handle images on the web?
Clearbox is ok, but is not usable (in the usability sense) on most mobile devices and is problematic when an image is small/Portrait-oriented and/or has a longer caption. Right now, mobile devices default to opening images in new window while displaying the caption inline.
A simple mobile-cetnered image viewer would be nicer and would go toward making the mobile view into an installable webapp (eliminating one big need for browser nav controls, ie the back button).
An ideal desktop image viewer would do a better job of fitting both the image and the text on the page with both displaying at a reasonable size.
