cdms2.open cannot open cmip5 netcdf files

I saw some old posts also saying they cannot open certain netcdf file. Is there a solution?
CDMSError: Cannot open file /home/pkudujianghui/miniconda3/envs/cdat8/share/uvcdat/sample_data/pr_Aclim_CCSM4_piControl_r1i1p1_025001-130012-clim.nc (Variable not found)
