Some of the markdown doesn't render right when built with sphinx.

It's probably because of the difference in how github and sphinx parse markdown.
One instance of this is here. It renders perfectly fine on the private github wiki
where I used ~~ to add strikethrough text. e.g.; ~~strikethrough~~ renders like strikethrough.

Document authors should double check that their documents are rendered properly. So I am opening this issue so we can track that.
