We need to figure out our licensing situation for JCoz, and how to protect ourselves for when we try to market this. This will include:
- Consulting software patent lawyers
- Filing any paperwork we need to start a company
- Filing any paperwork we need for a patent / to protect the intellectual property of JCoz
- Potentially consulting Japanese lawyers before the SoftBank presentation
We've officially started an LLC, and we are most of the way done with filing for a copyright.
The next step is to black out any and all "trade secret" (i.e. proprietary) code in our codebase, and submit a PDF of the current state of the codebase to the copyright application.
We also need to determine if we can incorporate our work as a derivative work of COZ (i.e. integrate the current coz profiler with our code).
We're going to license this with GPL
