Split Track issue

I have a question about the function that splits the track in two at the selected point.

If I see correctly, the selected point will be the start of the second track, but it is removed from the first track... visually leaving a gap between the two tracks :-(

Would it be possible for you to change the function so that the selected point stays in both tracks (i.e. the last point of the 1st track AND the first point of the 2nd track), like e.g. the software JOSM is doing?

In case the first/last point is not needed, it would be then easy to manually delete the unwanted one...
