Print A5 format for diary with ring bond

Kuba-ZIL opened this issue · comments

Hi, I want to print 4 pages to double-side A4 format. And after cutting these A4 page to two A5 page I want use this in a diary with a ring bond.
If I print only 4 pages in the "book" mode, all is OK, sorting 4, 1, 2, 3 works. If there are print more pages, the "book" mode does not work for this.
I must send page 1-4, 5-8, 9-12... via Boomaga "book" format, and save to separate PDF files to output sorting: 4-1-2-3; 8-5-6-7; 12-9-10-11... This files then resubmitted to Boomaga in format: one page
A4, double-side, roll over to shorter edges, and print, or save in a PDF. I get output well sorted pages.

Any idea or tips how to do it without exporting many separate PDFs?

I assign a file with an example

Thank You.
Jakub

Hi, I have recently printed 83 pages long PDF into A5 ring-bond book. It was honestl pretty simple. You just disable sub-booklets (or how is it called) and then print it as usual. I was printing on printer without duplexer, but boomaga took care about that.

  • I basically imported my PDF to boomaga, switched off sub-booklets, clicked print.
  • Boomaga then printed all first sides and popup showed up that when I move all printed pages back to the paper tray I should click continue.
  • When printer finished, I moved it back to the paper tray, clicked continue.
  • Even parts of the book was printed, So I had A4 papers printed on both sides.
  • I've cut them to A5 (one side put to one pile - pages from the start, second side put to second pile - pages from the end).
  • When All pages was cut I had full stack of A5 pages, ready to ring-bind.

Or you can set that sub-booklets are 1 page long. That could work for you as well.

(P.S.: I know this is older issue, but it could still be useful to someone stumbling upon this here)
