Left and right mouse buttons disabled

When using the plugin, pressing the left and right mouse buttons does not give the appropriate function feedback, but pressing the middle mouse button or scrolling the mouse works fine. I don't know if it's a plugin conflict or if there's a problem somewhere, please help, thanks!
Can you try checking 'tooltip' and 'z_debug' in the add-on config to see whether left and right mouse presses are being registered in the add-on? Restart Anki after changing config, and when pressing left button (or doing any other stuff with the mouse), it should show either press_left or the action bottom left.
It would tell me if the mouse events are not forwarded to the add-on, or the problem is in the process after that.
[Anki 23.10 Beta 1] My middle button is disabled, but I have almost the same problem
❌left click, ❌middle click, ❌right click, ❌context menu disabled without tooltip
✔scroll up, ✔scroll down works with tooltip
the context menu comes back if I disable the addon
with my settings this means I can grade the card again/good but not flip it nor grade hard/easy using the mouse

I think it's a compatibility problem with one of your other add-ons. Can you try disabling all the other add-ons except for review hotmouse and see if it works then? I think another add-on is eating up the mouse press events.
It is indeed possible that there was a conflict between addons, and I am not sure which addons I disabled to automatically fix the issue.
[Anki 23.10 beta 4] I think it's from another addon throwing an error. I fixed some and disabled some, it started working with everything but right click+scroll, now it fully works

I also had this issue, and even disabling all other addons did not fix it (Anki Version 23.10.1).
I noticed the issue only occured when launching Anki in a profile synced to AnkiWeb. If I started Anki in a different, unsynced profile and switched to my main profile, the mouse buttons worked. Launching Anki offline also fixed the problem, but disabling automatic syncing did not.
Edit: I just updated to version 23.12.1 and it's fixed, so nevermind
