Instead of checking every version have the user select a version to connect
Could fix performance issues people may have when joining
Sorry, don't get it.
Version checking is not that expensive. And the only expense is in loading (but thats an architecture question) and network. But network is so bloated, fhat it wont make a big difference

Just wanted to throw in the idea
I think they must've been proposing to do it how Minecraft does it, where you have separate builds for each version that only contains the code/libraries needed for that version.
that could be great, but pretty impossible to make easy with kotlin. The overhead is so small, that it does not really matter
