All XMPP notifications are being sent multiple times

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Connect gtalksms
2.Receive an SMS
3. Read the chat window of the controlling gtalk account

What is the expected output?
SMS from Contact: Message Text
Reply contact is Contact (Number)

What do you see instead?
SMS from Contact: Message Text
SMS from Contact: Message Text
SMS from Contact: Message Text
Reply contact is Contact (Number)
Reply contact is Contact (Number)
Reply contact is Contact (Number)

Additional informations:

HTC One S

I've the same problem. It was 3 lines by message. Now I've changed chat email 
address I've got 5 lines by message !!

Phone model: Galaxy Nexus (4.2.2 Not rooted)

Nexus 4 same issue. Also I am using two Google accounts and one of them is used 
via hangouts

I'm able to reproduce the issue when I'm using hangout to receive notifications.
It's due to the google implementation of hangout that relay the message on each 
addresses. So when you're connected with the same account on 4 devices for 
example, the devices using hangout receive 4 notifications.

I'm evaluating several solution to avoid this issue
