Can't set VLC path macOS 12.1

Describe the bug
When I try to select the executable located in Applications, it appears grayed out and doesn't let select it.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to the settings
2. Local Files
3. Click on “Select VLC Path”
4. Go to the Applications folder
5. Try to select VLC
6. See error.

Expected behavior
It should let me select the executable, so I can set the path.
