Ability to add tags with spaces in between using `tag` but not `edit`

When adding a tag to a person with edit, I am unable to add a tag with spaces in between. for eg: edit 11 t/a a a a a. However, i am able to execute tag 11 a a a a a without any issues. The results of the tag is a tag with the spaces removed: a a a a a -> aaaaa.
