Connection Error while accessing Microsoft Defender for Cloud

chudytom opened this issue · comments

Describe the bug
When I try to open the Microsoft Defender for Cloud in Azure Portal, I get a "Connection error". At the same time all other Azure services are working normally so my Internet connection is working as expected.

image

It's important to note that sometimes this issue exisits and sometimes all the data in Defender loads as expected. Probably making it harded to debug.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to Azure Portal
  2. Go to Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  3. Go to either "Overview" tab or "Recommendations" tab

Expected behavior
I would just expect the data in MS Defender for Cloud to load. With it being unreliable is hard to use it more often. Then instead I need to rely on "Policy" view e.g. on management group level. Whereas Defender has many more capabilities (when they work).

Additional context
The issue happens for mutliple people in my company. Please share if this bug is only hitting us or also other people.

Hi @chudytom,
unfortunately, we cannot provide product assistance as part of this Github community. For product support, please file a product-related support request.

Closing this issue as it's unrelated to artifacts in this Github repository.

@TomJanetscheck I already created a dedicated support ticket to Microsoft on that. But... It would be a good idea to hear from the community how many users are experiencing same issue?

That would be the main purpose of this issue to gather feedback how many users are affected. Could we open the issue for that purpose?

Since this Github community is focused on providing automations and artifacts to enrich the Defender for Cloud experience, only, not on resolving or collecting evidence about technical product issues, it is not the right place for this purpose.

You can engage with the technical community around Defender for Cloud on TechCommunity, or join our Cloud Security Customer Connection Program.
