Adding distances between Burgs on a river/route elevation plan

Problem
I wish to determine the distance between Burgs along a road.
Solution
Add distance between Burgs on the elevation plan below the current distance line. This will enable a clearer understanding of the movement distance of an army (wargame) or party (rpg).
You can do it using the road ruler (see in Units Editor)
As for the plan, I am not sure how it will look
Perhaps simply putting the distance along the river in brackets after the burg
That would let me simply calculate it easily
