No lakes

Describe the bug
When I make a lake on my map, it is connected to river systems but I cannot click on in to open "edit lake". It is as if the lakes were just swollen rivers.
Steps to reproduce
- Click on ... any lake on the map
- Type ...
- See the ... nothing happens
Expected behavior
When I open the Map generator from scratch on a random map and I click on a lake, the "edit lake" pop up window appears. That is what I expected to happen in my map as well.

Thanks for your help, I am sure it is just a detail I might be missing. I tried to find a solution for days, but without success.
Hello. For some reason lakes and landmass layers were hidden. I have manually turned them on so now the map works fine. Please ket me know if you have an idea on how it could happen.
