1.87 Broke Cultures/Provinces/Etc

Kira076 opened this issue · comments

1.87 seems to have broken provinces, cultures, religions, etc for 1.86 maps. There's no 1.86 version of the tool available from the archive (that I can see?), only the 1.8 version... So I'm not able to simply use an archived version.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Take a v 1.86 map
  2. Attempt to load it in the current stable (1.87) version of the tool

Expected behavior
Map would open up and the color coding in the table for provinces, religions, cultures, etc would match the colors on the map, and mousing over an area on the map would highlight the corresponding entry in the table.

Instead, the (for example) provinces in the table don't match the names that appear when you mouse over an area on the map, and the colors in the table don't match the map either. When mousing over the map, none of the table entries are highlighted.

Thank you for the report, I will check it out

Works fine for me in Chrome:

Maybe I'm not understanding how it works then - where are any of the provinces that are pink or yellow on the map? All of those are variants of green or blue

... I just not noticed the drop down in the bottom right. Pretty sure I'm dumb

Yep I'm dumb. It all seems to be working as intended.

I just noticed there's still an issue with religions - it is showing some religions as extinct even though they have corresponding colours/cells on the map... See screenshot

It is happening on new maps?

It doesn't seem to have, no. However I hadn't made any custom changes yet to religions, so I went ahead and regenerated them and it seems to have fixed it. I don't know why it removed/updated those in the first place though

Will close as I have no ideas what is happening. Working on code refactoring to avoid such issue
