The Icons, Routes and so on are for some reason extremely transparent the moment i load up a map as seen on following screenshot below

Hello, can you share the .map file? You can zip it and attach here or share via any cloud service like Google Drive.

That's a weird map. Icons and routes had opacity added, while rivers just had too light color. See the file we these values changed.
