suspend disables apple trackpad

I am on wayland / hyprland. sleep(hybernate) works well, but whenever i suspend or close lid, the apple trackpad is disabled. I can confirm the usb connection is not lost since turning the power on/off enables touchpad again. I would appreciate any advices on debugging this issue.i want to say so far my experience with this project has been amazing and thank you for your efforts.
