Apptainer instead of Docker as an option

Hi all,

I'm following NovelTree's development and have been looking into running your testing scripts. I think it's very promising, but my HPC does not allow Docker, but it does have Apptainer.

Would there be any chance of offering an Apptainer version in the future?

Hi @jsoghigian, thanks for your interest in NovelTree, and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner!

We don't currently have a plan to make NovelTree work with anything other than Docker, as our main focus at the moment is improving core features that impact stability and efficiency, but perhaps after our next release we can be sure to make this happen in a minor release!
