[Bug Report] World doesn't render (Bedrock and Java)

perpetualeta opened this issue · comments

Bug Report

Current Behaviour:

When I open a world in Amulet, none of the blocks render in. A small number of blocks render as having no texture (purple and black.) This happens in both Bedrock and Java.
The selector tools appear to be fully functional.

Expected behaviour:

That I would be able to see my world when I open it.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Open Amulet.
  2. Open world.
  3. Select 3d editor tab.
  4. See the issue.

Environment:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Minecraft Platform: Java & Bedrock
  • Minecraft Version: Java 1.20.2, Bedrock 1.20.62
  • Amulet Version: 0.10.27

Additional context

Tried on 2 java worlds, including an (almost) new one.
Also on one Bedrock world.
I have found similar but reports, but not recently.
I'm not using any custom data packs or resource packs,
This is a brand new installation of Amulet.

I think I have encountered this issue in the past and just given up.

Attachments

None.

Screenshots

Near spawn on the new Java world. The others look the same, but with more purple blocks. I think those might include chests?

Also a screenshot from the bedrock world, near spawn. You can see that a turquoise banner has rendered, minus its pattern.

Also the terminal window after opening the 3 worlds in succession. "Practice world" is the new one. The others are big and developed. I've never noticed any error messages.

Looks like Amulet failed to download the resource pack.
Reloading Amulet sometimes fixes this.
