[FR] Flags from ungoogled chromium

Request-timed-out opened this issue · comments

Hi Alex, the new version of Thorium is amazing! On my win8.1 its performance is 125% of average chromium, I love it a lot! And it has never crashed so far. Can you add more flags (like #close-window-with-last-tab, #remove-grab-handle and so on...) from ungoogled chromium to make Thorium more secure and more customizable? I also checked the flags in Supermium, there's an ungoogled flag WIP, hope u can finish it together and add to respective updates, thx & keep up good work!!

Only patches that are useful to us and do not break usability will be added, other types of patches may not be added

@gz83 imo some more switches are still needed. Most devices running Thorium are old and don't have large screens, so it would be useful to add flags like #remove-grab-handle and #remove-tabsearch-button to preserve horizontal space for tabs so they won't jam too much. And since we have #double-click-close-tab in Thorium already, how about adding #hide-tab-close-buttons from ungoogled chromium to save more space for tab titles? That would be great.

I would also add #close-window-with-last-tab

@Alex313031 I'm afraid there're more flags still needed for Thorium, much appreciation if you can also add them!

  • #remove-grab-handle save horizontal space for tabs so they won't jam too much on old/low resolution devices
  • #remove-tabsearch-button same as above
  • #hide-tab-close-buttons save more space for tab titles when #double-click-close-tab is enabled
  • #hide-fullscreen-exit-ui enhance ambient browsing experience
  • #popups-to-tabs more unified UI

@Request-timed-out These flags are now in the M122 release.
