Sync is always paused on every startup

System Details
- OS: Sonoma 14.2.1
- Thorium Version 119.0.6045.214
Problem
On every start up, sync is paused. I have to sign in again. I also have to do the 2FA again, even though I checked the "don't ask on this device again" box.
Additional Notes
Disabling all extensions, clearing cache/history/cookies did not help
I googled the problem and there are various suggestions, such as
- turn off cookies deletion on exit. I don't see this option, and unless it's on by default, I did not turn it on
- add google.com to list of sites to always allow cookies from. I can't find this option either.
I am an individual user. My machine and google account are not managed by a company's admin.
Any help is appreciated
Somehow, the problem resolved itself. I did nothing as far as I can tell. Google decided to cooperate, I guess. :)
