Our design team is looking for some adjustments to the auro input fields
Describe the solution you'd like
1)Is it possible to prevent the help/error message from shifting the field up?
2) Is it possible to prevent the X in the field from expanding the field to the right on hover?
3) Is it possible to have an optional input field with an error message, so that if a user clicks into the optional flight number field and back out, that the message does not appear. We want the validation message to appear only if they enter the wrong flight number format.

Additional context
The request from Product and Design teams:
- Top alignment of boxes don't match
- Error message on the optional field, Flight # input box, even though nothing was typed incorrectly. This box also moves up when the error msg appear
- Size of input boxes changes when you hover over
