Possible bug: temporary loss of mouse click after unlock

sllerts opened this issue · comments

Recently, I've noticed that when the screen saver engages, after I unlock, mouse clicks do not register for at least 15 to 30 seconds. This only started happening in the past few weeks. Manually locking the computer and unlocking does not incur the delay.

This is with latest Monterey (12.4) on a 2019 15 inch MBP.

Edit: this is latest version of Aerial Companion, 3.0.9.

Hey @sllerts

Sorry I missed your issue.

There seems to be a bunch of weird sleep related issues with the latest Monterey builds.

First, did you see any change since with 12.5s ?

Second, this happens if you say, launch the screensaver, exit it while it's running, then you have this weird moment ?

It can take up to 15-30s for macOS to "kill" Aerial, after you wake up your computer since macOS Catalina. Because of this, not that long ago Aerial kept playing videos in the background which made old macs not very responsive. I did find a workaround to pause everything and while I'm not sure what could be causing the issue, the timing is way too suspect not to think it's not at least related. It's highly highly likely a macOS issue unfortunately but let's see if we can find something.

Again, sorry I missed your issue, I don't check this repo's issues as much as I should.
