It does not work for me

[Google Code Exporter]

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I installed off cydia
2.went to settings to make sure it is enabled
3.tried typing a note 
4.no keyboard with numbers on top
5. I also tried to install with Ice
6. I haverest the iPhone no luck
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I was expecting to get numbers on top 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system
(iPhone/iPod Touch? Firmware version?)?

3GS
firmware 3.1.2
