Seemingly Unable to Launch from Hidden Directory

Describe the bug
Upon wishing to edit my batch profile in ~/.config/
, I have come to the realisation that calling notepads
--and only the notepads
alias of them all-- results in a permission error, for some reason.
To Reproduce
Go into a hidden directory.
Attempt to launch Notepads through the notepads
AppX alias.
Returns in a failure, translated by the following message : "Access is denied."
Expected behavior
I expected Notepads to simply launch, regardless of where I invoke it from (no files from any hidden directory were passed).
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: Windows 10 Pro
- Version 22H2 19045.2788
Additional context
Calling for instance a shortcut to the app (e.g. that which I have on my desktop) from the same hidden locations does not result in a fail of any kind, interestingly.
This was an issue on my side that had to do with i messing up my OS' application database a while back.
This is an invalid bug report, that I should not have opened to begin with as it is irrelevant to Notepads specifically.
